Chalice Cowl* Test Knitting Specs
The Chalice Cowl* is a sport-weight, beginner-friendly colorwork cowl. It uses 3 colors but only 2 colors are used at a time for stranded colorwork.
This test knit is a secret test, meaning photos and discussion may be shared within the testing group but not on social media or any other public forums.

This test knit will be hosted on Slack.
Applications will be considered based on your responses, portfolio, and level of experience for this given project.
The test will begin on Monday, July 11, 2022, when a fully tech-edited pattern will be sent to testers who have completed a gauge swatch.
Testers will be selected by Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and invited to join the Slack channel. They will then have a week to purchase yarn, swatch, and otherwise prepare to begin test knitting!

Test Knitter Requirements
Previous experience in test knitting for designers or publications
Previous experience in stranded colorwork knitting
Knowledge of standard swatching for gauge purposes, including colorwork in the round
Ability to learn new techniques and problem-solve independently
Attention to detail when reading patterns
Ability and willingness to photograph FO in clear, natural lighting for social media sharing purposes
Yarn support is available via lottery for 1 tester to use the sample yarn (De Rerum Natura Ulysse) in the sample colors (Caramel, Sauge, Tempete). To enter the lottery, check “yes” for the appropriate question on the testing application!
Note that due to shipping costs and time, yarn support option is only available to testers in the USA.

Yardage estimates include yarn amount needed to knit a 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) swatch.
Needle sizes:
US 5/3.75mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, 16-20”/ 40-50cm circular
US 4/3.5mm, or one size smaller than main, 16-20”/ 40-50cm circular
