TEST DATES:

May 22, 2026 - August 23, 2026

This test knit will be hosted on Slack.

Testers will be selected from the KC Knitting Co private testing pool, which means you are pre-approved and do not need to submit a formal application.

There are 2-3 testing spots per size and variation (cardigan or pullover) available. Spots will be filled first come, first serve, with the option to be waitlisted in case a spot opens up before the test start date.

The test begins on Friday, May 22, 2026, when a formatted, fully tech-edited pattern will be sent to testers who have completed a gauge swatch.

MATERIALS

Yarn:

Light fingering weight yarn, worsted or woolen spun, at least 2-ply for optimal stitch definition

Note that using a woolen spun yarn will result in a more lightweight fabric and using a worsted spun yarn will result in a denser fabric. Light fingering is recommended over fingering or sock weight yarn due to the tight gauge and thickness of fabric created by all-over colorwork.

Les Garçons British 4-Ply, 70% Bluefaced Leicester wool and 30% masham wool, non-superwash
437yd/ 400 m per 100 g skein

Sample uses Louis’ Shade (dark blue) and Vincent’s Highland Coo (brown).

Yardage:

MC: 1000, 1065, 1110, (1218, 1300, 1400), ((1485, 1597, 1854)) yds/ 915, 974, 1015, (1114, 1189, 1280), ((1358, 1460, 1695)) m

US 3/3.25mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, 16”/40cm, 24” 60cm, and 32-47”/80-117.5cm circular for raglan increases and body, DPNS or long circular for Magic Loop for sleeves

US 2/3.00mm, or one size smaller than main needle, 16”/40cm circular for collar, DPNs or long circular for Magic Loop for cuffs, and 32”/80cm circular for button band edging

Depending on the yarn used, your needle size may vary to obtain gauge.
