Willa Cowl Testing Knitting Specs

Willa is a fingering weight colorwork cowl with one main background color and a gradient of 3 mini skein contrast colors. Knit in the round as a long tube, then twisted and seamed together, this double-layered infinity cowl is thick, cozy, and warm for winter!

December 10, 2021 - January 23, 2022

This test knit will be hosted on Slack.

Applications will be considered based on your responses, portfolio, and level of experience for this given project.

The test is slated to begin on Friday, December 10th, when an unformatted pattern will be sent to testers who have completed a gauge swatch. Testers will be selected prior to this date to allow time for yarn purchase or selection and gauge swatching.

Sample uses colorways Umber, Pinot Noir, Candy Apple, and Crab Apple


Needle size:

US 4/3.5mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, 16-20”/ 40-50cm circular

Tools:  Stitch markers, tapestry needle, scrap yarn

Gauge: 

28 sts x 32 rows = 4” x 4”/ 10cm x 10cm in stranded colorwork in the round, after washing and blocking
