A colorwork cowl inspired by the magical tarot deck and the wonderment of the great Pacific Northwest. Symbolic cups are represented to remind you to attune to intuition, flow with your feelings, and find happiness and abundance wherever you are.

Wonderment was originally designed as the knitting shop pattern for Ritual Dyes in Portland, Oregon’s Rose City Yarn Crawl 2023.

Height: 8.5”/ 21.5cm

MATERIALS 

Yarn: De Rerum Natura Ulysse, 100% Merino, 202yds / 185m per 50g

C1 (brown): 111 (130)yds/ 102 (119)m

C2 (mint): 116 (135)yds/ 106 (124)m

C3 (blue): 22 (26)yds/ 24m

Sample uses colors Caramel, Sauge, and Tempete.

Yardage estimates include yarn amount needed to knit a 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) swatch.

 

Needle sizes:

US 5/3.75mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, 16-20”/ 40-50cm circular

US 4/3.5mm, or one size smaller than main, 16-20”/ 40-50cm circular

Tools:  Stitch markers, tapestry needle

 

Gauge: 

24 sts x 32 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) in stranded colorwork in the round, after washing and blocking
